Peer review
MJMS follows a double-blind peer-review process. Peer reviewers are experts chosen by journal editors to provide a written assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of written research, with the aim of improving the reporting of research and identifying the most appropriate and highest quality material for the journal.

The Journal’s review process
The practice of peer review is to ensure that good paper is published. It is an objective process at the heart of good scholarly publishing and is carried out on all reputable scientific journals.

English language editing
For editors and reviewers to accurately assess the work presented in your manuscript you need to ensure the English language is of sufficient quality to be understood. If you need help with the English language, you should consider:

  • Asking a colleague who is a native English speaker to review your manuscript for clarity.
  • Visiting the English language tutorial which covers the common mistakes when writing in English.
  • Using a professional language editing service where editors will improve the English to ensure that your meaning is clear and identify problems that require your review.

Please note: The language preference can be either British or American English. Please ensure that the use is consistent throughout the submission.

Author material archive policy
Authors who require the return of any submitted material that is rejected for publication in the journal should indicate in the cover letter. If no indication is given, that author's material will not be returned, the Editorial Office will dispose of all hardcopy and electronic material.

Copyright
Authors publishing the Journal will be asked to sign a declaration form. In signing the form, it is assumed that authors have obtained permission to use any copyrighted or previously published material. All authors must read and agree to the conditions outlined in the form and must sign the form or agree that the corresponding author can sign on their behalf. Articles cannot be published until a signed form has been received.

Hardcopies of the Journals and offprints
